Russia claimed on Tuesday to have thwarted drone attacks from Ukraine aimed at the Russian regions of Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border, and Tula, south of Moscow. Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia have urged Belarus to remove the remaining members of the Russian Wagner mercenary group from their territory, according to Poland’s Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski. Additionally, Ukraine announced the recapture of the village of Robotyne along the southern front, where Ukrainian forces have launched a counteroffensive against Russian positions.
Four People Killed as Russian Mi-8 Helicopter Crashes Near Kazakh Border
At least four individuals have lost their lives in the crash of a Mi-8 helicopter near the Russian-Kazakh border in the Chelyabinsk region. The helicopter was reportedly linked to the Federal Security Service (FSB) and was engaged in a training flight at the time of the accident. According to Russian aviation authorities, the helicopter belonged to the FSB, and only the crew was on board when the crash occurred.
